Wyatt Latham, Reporter

Wyatt Latham is a sophomore at Meridian High School and is a reporter for the Meridian Daily. He is the first student to transfer into journalism halfway through the year. Latham plays football and baseball for the Hawks and in his spare time likes to socialize and practice his sports.

COVID-19 makes football season uncertain

The Blue Mound Fall Festival has been an annual tradition in the community since 1910. The 110th anniversary of the event was canceled due to COVID-19. The car show is another large part of the Fall Festival. This would have been the 15th year for it. I felt a bit relieved when I found out the Fall Festival was cancelled because it is a very stressful time for me, but also a little disappointed, Nathan True, car show organizer said.
