Hannah Reichert, Editor-in-Chief

Hannah Reichert is a senior and the Editor-in-Chief of the Meridian Daily. She has had many stories published for the Blue Mound Leader. Reichert enjoys writing hard-hitting news stories. She is a part of the student council, SADD, FCS, and drama clubs. After school, Reichert likes to travel, hang out with friends, cuddle with her dogs, and spend time with her mom. She plans on attending Richland Community College after graduating in May.

Meridians foreign exchange student, senior Larou de Jong, will continue to study journalism at university after she returns to the Netherlands. I dont really know everything yet, but what I do know is that it is going to be pretty similar to the journalism program at Meridian, said de Jong.

The Class of 2019’s graduation featured Sadie Scott as the valedictorian for the class. Scott gave her speech in front of family and friends after four years of hard work and stress. “Becoming valedictorian wasn’t easy, and there’s a reason not everyone does it,” said Scott. “It takes a lot of sacrifices, giving up classes you might have wanted to take, giving up free time to do homework; maybe if I could do high school over, I would do things differently.”
