Meridian football playoffs, 2021
The Meridian Football team advanced to playoff competition. They played Athens on Saturday, Oct. 30. Before they went to Athens, the high school had a pep assembly. The Cheerleaders did routines and the band played to get the team pumped up. Eric Hurelbrink gave the football team a talk to get them ready as well.

The Meridian Girls Cheerleading squad performs the school song to pump up the football team before going to the Class 1A playoffs against Athens on Saturday Oct 30. “The area where our cheer squad grew the most this year is in technique. Before our new coach came in, the girls and I had no idea the amount of stuff that went wrong because we didn’t know the basic technique that went into it. We had to start from the beginning again which was frustrating but in the long run, it has helped us tremendously,” Trinity Hott (junior) said.
