A new addition to Meridian has been made, and her name is Ms. Greenwood. Her job at Meridian is to provide important information to the office: poor attendance, grades going down, or students feeling down.

She tries to find the kids who are struggling and give them guidance to solve the issue. “I help build relationships with the students, prevent wrongdoing, and repairĀ harm when necessary,” said Ms. Greenwood.

“The goal at Meridian is getting students to graduate,” says Mr. Brue. Having the restorative justice system could really benefit the students and help reach that goal. Students can contact Ms. Greenwood anytime they feel they need to.

“It’s another person for the kids to talk to,” says Mr. Hurelbrink. Another part of her job is to help Mr. Hurelbrink get the kids who are at risk back on track.

Not many of the surrounding schools have this system. The school made some budget changes and had room to make this new addition.
