If you’re looking for a good place to eat, but don’t want to spend a lot of money, then you need to try Donnie’s homespun pizza on 126 S. Oakland. They have a wide range of food from soups, to pizza, to sandwiches. It also has a bar for people looking to just hang out with friends.  Their good food and convenient place makes it a favorite among the community.

I went to Donnie’s on Sunday and wasn’t disappointed. As soon as I walked in the door I liked the atmosphere, its unique because they have art all over the walls that can actually be purchased and taken home. Every painting has a tag with the name and price. The employees were nice and well mannered. They were busy at the time and slow so it took about an hour to get the pizza.

I ordered the “heart attack” pizza which consists of Italian ham, pepperoni, roast beef, sausage, and mozzarella cheese. It was very good and tastes better than it probably sounds. Chandler Walters, a regular customer at Donnie’s says, “Donnie’s is my favorite pizza place for sure.”

I will definitely be returning as often as I can.
