Valentine’s Day is coming up in the next couple of weeks, and every year people struggle trying to come up with ideas for gifts, dates, attire, and ways to make others happy.
Thinking of places to go and what to do can be hard. Senior, Brea Miller, says even though she has never been on a date of any sort, thinks dinner and a movie or something is a really good idea. Just something they planned out themselves.
Finding what to wear can be hard, you want to look your best but still comfortable. Junior, Camille Gaither, gives us her ideal outfit for both male and female. For a male, a nice comfy outfit could be tan khakis with a nice fitting sweater worn with white Nike Roshe. For a female, black leggings with a sweater worn with Uggs or any kind of boots, and add a little more style with a scarf and or necklace.
You don’t always have to get someone gifts, some enjoy it and some just enjoy your company. If you are one to give gifts, some good ideas could be chocolates, flowers, pajamas, anything from Bath & Body Works, and even jewelry, says Gaither. Anything that comes to mind is a good idea, it is just the thought that counts. Junior, Gage Hollgarth, says his girlfriend gives him a lot of ideas but he just tries to pay attention when they go out places like the mall and watch to see what she likes. “This year we are going out to dinner and going to catch a fly movie after…probably Olive Garden or Fuji,” says Hollgarth.
Final tips from Miller are to just look up cute ideas on google if you are having a really hard time, try to come up with something on your own without asking what your partner wants to do. Planning on your own means more to a female, “surprise us.”
